Kareena Kapoor and her ex-beau Shahid Kapur were a hit pair in “Jab We Met” and the actress says they won’t disappoint fans as an on-screen couple in their much delayed “Milenge Milenge” either.

“I know people have expectations from us individually and as a pair. And they won’t be disappointed. It’s a very sweet film. And not dated at all though it got delayed. I’m as proud of ‘Milenge Milenge’ as I am of any of my films,” said Kareena, who is currently dating actor Saif Ali Khan.

The romantic comedy by director Satish Kaushik has been in the making since 2005.

Defying all talk that she has been sidelining her only pending assignment with Shahid, Kareena said she had been running in and out of the studio to complete the dubbing before she leaves for a shoot in New York.

“We’re all professionals here. For me it doesn’t matter who the leading man in ‘Milenge Milenge’ is. For me what is important is that I made a commitment to two of my favourite people in the industry - producer Boney Kapoor and director Satish Kaushik - who’ve stood by me from the beginning of my career. How can I let them down? Boney wants a summer release for his film. I’ve to complete my dubbing before I leave,” said Kareena.

“I’m running in and out of two dubbing studios. I’ve already completed most of the dubbing,” she added.

“Milenge Milenge” is special because the former couple will be seen together after Imtiaz Ali’s lovable “Jab We Met” in 2007.

Finally Kareena will work with Imtiaz again!. Kareena Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali are all set to recreate the magic of Jab We Met by teaming up together in a snack ad.

After the success of Jab..., Bebo was keen on working with Imtiaz Ali again, but the director chose Deepika instead in Love Aaj Kal.

According to sources, Kareena insisted that Imtiaz should direct her in the ad as she was "dying" to work with the director.

A source has revealed the concept of the ad. "The concept is much like the story of Jab We Met. Bebo will be wearing ethnic salwar-suits and would run through the sarson ka khets."

Kambakkht Ishq is also a remake Tamil Film. Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor starter Kambakkht Ishq is a remake of Tamil film Pammal K. Sambandam (2002) starring Kamal Hassan titled. The Tamil film was a big hit down South.

In the tamil movie, Kamal Hassan had played the title role and it also starred Simran, Abbas and Sneha. Their roles have been substituted with Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani and Sneha respectively. It was directed by Mouli.

In the Tamil original, Kamal enacted the role of a film stuntman while Simran was a doctor in the making. In the Hindi version, Akshay Kumar is a renowned stunt artiste while Kareena Kapoor plays a super model and a doctor. Pammal K. Sambandam is been remade in Hindi by Anees Bazmee for South producer GV Films which had acquired the remake rights for Rs.5 lakh.

However, Sajid paid Rs.75 lakh for the same remake rights. Reportedly, Sajid Nadiadwala has spared neither efforts nor money in remaking the South hit. All though it is directed by a new name (Saabir Khan), it is said to have cost over Rs.60 crore. Incidentally, the film’s release has been postponed, thanks to the face-off between multiplexes and producers/distributors. Instead of 29th May, it may now be released in August or July. When will bollywood try to comeout with unique script?

Kareena to play a politician in upcoming movie. Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra has once again roped in his lucky mascot Chitrangada Singh to play a power-broker in politics in his upcoming venture ‘Dhruv’. Along with his apparently favourite actress, Sudhir has also cast none other than Kareena Kapoor in the role of a politician for the film.

In the film, which would also star Farhan Akhtar, Chitrangada will play a femme fatale of politics and the underworld.

Confirming the news, Sudhir said, “Both, Kareena and Chitrangada are so different in beauty, talent and personality that I’ve conceived two dramatic sequences featuring them. In terms of their looks, screen presence and the characters, Kareena and Chitrangada are poles apart.”

Debutante director Prem Soni is presently preparing to shoot a special song for his film Main Aur Mrs. Khanna with its lead stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta in Mumbai. Unit sources claim a huge set is presently being erected for the song shoot the cost for which will run to Rs. 80 lakhs. This song will be shot between 20th to 25th March in a Mumbai studio. Farah Khan who has become very selective about her choreography assignments after turning director and now mother especially, will be choreographing this special song. With this song the entire shooting of the film will be completed.

Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India into the Kapoor film family of Punjabi origin, Kapoor is the youngest daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita (née Shivdasani). According to Kapoor, her first name was derived from the book Anna Karenina. She is the granddaughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor and the great granddaughter of Prithviraj Kapoor. Bebo, as she is fondly called, is also the sister of actress Karisma Kapoor and the niece of actor Rishi Kapoor.

Despite being born into a successful acting family, her father insisted that she marry early according to Indian tradition and avoid acting. In an interview with Encyclopedia Britannica, he stated that the problem was not women acting itself, given that both he and his brother married well-known actresses as did their uncles. Rather, his concerns arose from the purported incompatibility between acting and the maternal duties and responsibility of women in the family. This led to irreconcilable differences between her parents and resulted in her mother leaving the house along with Kapoor and her older sister. She was raised by her mother, who, with difficulty, worked several jobs to support the family, until Karisma began work as an actress in 1991.

Kapoor was educated at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai, and later Welham Girls Boarding School in Dehradun. After studying commerce at Mithibai College, Vile Parle for two years, she embarked upon a three-month summer course in microcomputers at Harvard University. She later developed an interest in law and enrolled at the Government's Law College in Churchgate. After completing one year there, she returned to her initial plan to become an actress and commenced training under Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting Institute.

Born into the Kapoor film family, she made her acting debut with Refugee (2000), for which she won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. In 2001, Kapoor received her first commercial success with her second release, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai and later appeared in Karan Johar's melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which became India's top-grossing film in the overseas market that year and her biggest commercial success to date.

After receiving negative reviews due to a series of unsuccessful films and repetitive roles between 2002 and 2003, Kapoor accepted more demanding parts to avoid being typecast. Her portrayal of a sex worker in Chameli (2004) proved to be the turning point in her career and garnered her the Filmfare Special Performance Award.
